Nidderdale Barrier Rope System

Agricultural shows and similar outdoor events are a popular feature of the country calendar attracting many thousands of visitors each year. 

Not surprisingly, businesses and other organisations use these occasions to promote their products and services with trade stands and exhibits. The Nidderdale system has been designed with trade stands and exhibits at such events specifically in mind.

DESCRIPTION
Wooden posts, which are supplied in a natural finish, hold the rope approximately 75cm (2' 6") above the ground to form the perimeter of a stand or display. 

Decorative end knots allow an entrance to be formed between two posts.

The posts are securely held in position by square steel cups fitted with a steel spike that is driven into the ground.

ROPES

The system is designed for use with 24mm diameter rope which can be supplied in staple fibre polypropylene (resembles wool) in a choice of 6 colours: Bright Red, Royal Blue, Slate Blue, Green, Gold and Black or in natural looking Polyhemp..

Ropes can be supplied with a decorative rose knot, which acts as a stopper, usually at a gate post. The free end is then threaded through the posts and any surplus neatly coiled.

It is important to note that, in common with many other materials, these colours will fade over time in bright sunlight.

POSTS AND CUPS

The posts are made from substantial 70mm x 70mm (3" x 3") pine that has been tanalised to last, leaving the wood a light brown colour that is naturally attractive in a rural setting.

The modular nature makes it a simple matter to add or subtract posts to allow adjustment for different sized 'pitches'.

It should be noted, however, that the posts come pre-drilled for 'straight runs' or 'corners' and  these are not interchangeable.

Because the posts are held in a separate steel cup, they are protected from the inevitable damage which occurs when driving wooden posts into hard ground. A specially designed cup lifter is available to assist extraction when the event/show has finished.

If ropes are to be stored please ensure that they are perfectly dry before being put away.
